Report on Fishergate Baptist Church Conference Nov 15th

We had a very worthwhille day at Fishergate Baptist Church last month. We have circulated  the report on the conference I have compiled and hope people will find it interesting reading.

You can download it as a pdf file from

Please feel free to pass this on to colleagues and other interested parties as it is a public document. If you have any difficulty reading the pdf attachment please email me and I can send you an alternative version in MS Word (or if really necessaary on paper).

If you have any further comments or feedback on the report please email me with them.

As you can see if you read the report we are now committed to three main lines of action.

These are:

1) Recruiting a group of  around 12 committed Christians to join the membership of the church and stremgthen its mission and ministry. We will be advertising for these "12 Disciples" in the New Year

2) commissioning an architectural feasibility study and drawing up a business plan for the future sustainable redevelopment of the building

3) Making better use of the basement facilitiies developing the outreach to homeless and needy people (with an emphasis on the young) in partnership with the other agencies represented in the Preston Homeless Network.

For each of these we will be attempting to draw together small working parties in the New Year and we will be approaching those who indicated some interest in serving on these groups.  If you have time and energy to offer please contact me  pcan@maister-smith.fsnet.co.uk
