Debt-ridden Lancashire families are taking out loans to cover the cost of Christmas, a charity has warned.
Debt counsellors from Christians Against Poverty (CAP) said said around half of those who have approached the charity for help recently had borrowed cash to pay for Christmas presents and food – some from doorstep lenders.
